    The Minister

    Rev Leslie Patterson

Leslie grew up just four miles outside of Ballynahinch. He comes from a family of four, and was schooled at Spa Primary School before moving to the High School Ballynahinch. On leaving School, Leslie began his training as a joiner and wood-machinist at Ballynahinch Technical College. For several years, Leslie worked for a joinery company in Carryduff before leaving in August 1998 to return to full time study at Castlereagh College.

On completing his studies there, he then attended University of Ulster Jordanstown where he obtained his primary degree in Community Youth Work. Following this he was accepted by the Board of Studies for Ordained Ministry in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, and studied for a further three years gaining a Diploma in Ministry and a Master of Divinity.

On completing his training for the ministry, Leslie was assigned to McQuiston Memorial Presbyterian Church as Assistant Minister.

On the 19th October 2007, Leslie was ordained and installed as minister of Loughaghery & Cargycreevy Presbyterian Churches.

Leslie is married to Laura, and they have two sons, a dog called Brinkley, and a pony called Blossom!
